Details:
At about 9:25pm this fairly bright meteor streaked through Cassiopeia and on to the area between Cehpeus and Lacerta. Given its direction away from Gemini, it is most likely a Geminid. The Pleiades are also prominent to the right and M31 is just visible at the top centre.
It is an 8 second exposure taken with a Nikon D5000 at ISO 1600, using a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 wide angle lens, at 11mm. Some processing was done to improve the contrast between the meteor and the background light pollution.
