AR2205 throws off an X1.6 class flare. This image was captured at UT 17:27:14 That is about 30 seconds after the maximum flare event. I find that shifting the H-alpha line by .5 angstroms is a way to tame even the most vicious solar flares. It is plane to see the “scars” left by previous flares on this image.
