What happens over Wonthaggi? If you have wondered many this morning while photographing the strange hole in the clouds in the sky to the south of the city of Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, and the posted on Twitter. To make it even more strange phenomenon, a "rainbow" that drew a line in the center. Of course someone has brought up the descent of a UFO and abduction by aliens. In reality it is a phenomenon known as "fallstreak cloud" that occurs when a part of the droplets of steam drops below zero without becoming ice. This state of subcooling is maintained until an external cause (could be for example in the wake of a plane, and here many will think chemtrails) is not involved triggering the formation of ice and causing them to precipitate. The ripple effect that is created can extend the "hole" for several kilometers. The colors in the cloud rather not have a rainbow, but more properly a "circumhorizontal arc". "It creates with ice crystals at high altitude - says Professor Paolo Candy of the Astronomical Observatory of the Cimini Mountains - and it is an unusual phenomenon that occurs only when the sun is very high in the sky, over 70 degrees. Along the "circumzenithal arc" is between the strings / halos brighter and more colorful " By this URL: http://www.repubblica.it/esteri/2014/11/03/foto/australia_in_cielo_c_un_fallstreak_hole_la_nuvola_sembra_aliena-99661813/1/?ref=HRESS-8#1
