Every year in the fall the Elk come to rut in the valleys of the Rocky Mountains. This night they were especially close to the roadside. I admit I took this right off the road because I would never wonder into a valley this time of year in the middle of the night. Elk may be acclimated to cars and tourist but are still dangerous animals and I am still amazed there aren't more attacks on humans trying to get cell phone shots. Canon 6D 24mm 5000 ISO 20sec f/2.0
