The Rising Sun with Sunspot 2192 over Lake Winnipeg
Taken by Jock McCracken on October 22, 2014 @ The morning was nice and clear so I got my Canon with my 500 mm lens sat down with a coffee and waited for the sun. Note the seagull nicely flew into the bottom section of the sun. I then rushed back to my cottage to Photoshop the image to reduce the glare. I only adjusted the lighting until the "Mickey Mouse Head and Ears" shaped image came through. I was a bit confused since the sunspot image was on the wrong side of the sun compared to the image on the front page of SpaceWeather. I then realized that that picture was taken from the SDO satellite.
