Details:
This image was taken just an hour before closest approach. The comet appears somewhat brighter than in was during preceding few evenings, even though it was only 2.75 arc minutes from overwhelmingly bright Mars. The insert shows the actual angular size of Mars - a stack of 1200 video frames, acquired an hour later. More images to follow on my website.
