Details:
Mount Hood from Trillium Lake just after the end of astronomical twilight October 16th 2014. [Mt. Hood is 11,245 feet elevation to the peak.] The clouds are lit by nearby mountain village streetlights and other local mountain town lights. Timberline Lodge shines brightly at 8 miles away at the 6,000 foot level, and beams its reflections to the lake below. The sky on the distant horizon is a prominent green glow with stars, possibly diffuse and distant aurora light, speckled with stars. *Technical: A wide panorama was produced from 24 photographs photo-stitched with Microsoft ICE. Other post processing with Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop CC. **A 42 year old Mamiya 55mm f/1.4 fixed lens from the artists original 35mm camera in college days of 1972 was adapted to the Sony NEX5 digital camera to produce this rare high resolution image. art & photography by mark seibold©1954~2014 all rights reserved
