Details:
Throughout the day of the total lunar eclipse, the sky over our place in Marikina City had been completely clouded out with occasional drizzling rains due to the effects of tropical storm Vongfong in the east. I have all but given up viewing the eclipse but miraculously the sky cleared up just an hour or two before moonrise during which the eclipse was already ongoing in the Philippines. I imaged the eclipsed moon using a Takahashi TSA 102 and a Canon 7D DSLR at prime focus. For the widefield images of the eclipse, I used a Canon 50D DSLR and a 17-55 mm Canon f2.8 EFS lens.
