There are many active regions with complex magnetic fields: AR2172-AR2175-AR2177. It is impressive the intensity and complexity of features inside AR2172, as clearly seen in this CaK image. Photo details: Solarmax70 CaK solar telescope centered at 393.4 nm (K1R of the line profile for quiet chromosphere), equipped with a Lu130M CCD camera. 12:00 UT. Good seeing.
