Details:
I was storm chasing the big convective storm cluster and when it moved away, clearing skies behind it gave me an opportunity for shooting above the cluster and watch for TLE events. Managed to catch more than 20 red sprites in approx. 90min when I was photographing. Shot from Vivaro, Italy towards SE over the central Adriatic sea, Croatia (ca. 300km away). Camera Canon 1100D, 50mm f/1.4, 3.2", ISO3200.

amazing. But what I dont understand is why in all the decades that people have been photographing storms (time exposure & time-lapse), why is it only relatively recently that sprites (and jets, etc) have become so easy to capture on photos?

Sarebbe sempre utile che nelle foto di sprites fossero indicate, nelle didascalie, le costellazioni e le stelle luminose presenti nelle foto stesse URANIO
