Details:
Secondmost spectacular launch I have ever seen. I was one of the shuttle astronauts' launch/landing physicians and have seen about 50 of those. This launch showed bright orange flame stretching farther than the shuttle's. The second stage did not produce as much "skirting" or flare of the exhaust. The first stage reappeared briefly under the track of the second stage. Just before diving over the horizon the second stage exhaust appeared orange. The stars were bright with the Dragon jumping over Orion. The initial picture was 160 seconds, the second 71 seconds, and the third 21 seconds. The colors, the reflections, the rocket changes thru the clouds and stages gave me goosebumps as it climbed to the ISS. I miss being up close to the action but this view brought me back
