auroras
Taken by Tyler Baldino on September 11, 2014 @ I am located pretty far south (Northern, NY), so I wasn't sure if I would see anything, but off in the distance you could definitely see a green glowing. This was my first time seeing the Auroras and they were as stunning as I imagined.

Tyler - Very nice capture of the subtle auroras on your part. Actually you are located relatively north of most of the country. If this subtle display piques your interest, wait till tonight Friday night, just another few hours now. We in Portland Oregon rarely see them but someone alerted me last June 1st 2013 to go out, and I got a great number of spectacular images, none the less this large panorama that shows the moon rising, the extent of the Columbia River Gorge, and the Andromeda Galaxy in upper center just above the clouds.
