Details:
The night of 30th-31st of August gave a very clear sky and also the low temperature of 0'C! Add to that the more or less good expectations to see auroras and yes, starting from 23:00h. local time (Salla, Finnish-Lapland) the auroras appeared first quit faint, but every now and than also bright enough to make nice pictures. Busy air traffic with many satellites and a meteor completed the 'guard duty'. The stripe on the 2nd picture however is not a ufo, but just an airplane ( ).
