Details:
In these last days of summer the farthest gas giant of the Solar System, Neptune, was at opposition, and so I waited for the early night clouds to dissipate to try some imaging at elevated magnification.
The result is attached to this email, its data and elaboration details written on the image itself. Referring to my first try ever, this time I managed to focus a little better the edge of the planet, and to capture a little gradient on its surface. With my simple instrumentation of a 200/1000 newtonian and a 50€ webcam, as written, it was way way more that I could ever imagine to image for this very distant planet that was around 4.5 Billions Km away from Earth!!
I added also an inverted b/n elaboration to show better the contrast in the gradients and a software simulation for the time of observation. Unfortunately, I did not manage to image its big satellite Triton, but this objective is beyond my instrumentation capacity right now. A tip to remember for future times.
