The waning crescent Moon joined Venus and Jupiter this morning (August 23) at dawn. The trio had barely cleared distant clouds when a fog bank started rolling in: just a few minutes after this shot was taken, the show was over! The scene was captured at 5:10 a.m. (about 50 minutes before local sunrise) from the Camillien-Houde Lookout on Mount Royal, overlooking the East-End of Montréal and Jacques-Cartier Bridge spanning the St. Lawrence River. Technical data: Nikon D5100 @ ISO 320, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 @ f/8, 2-second exposure.
