Details:
I used an Orion ST-80 piggybacked on an LX200 with an SBIG ST-2000XCM. The image is a composite of a star-aligned and comet-aligned stack from 7x5 minute exposures.

Just to clarify, the composite is all from the same raw image data; the image correctly depicts where the comet was at the start of the imaging run. The images were stacked while aligned on the stars and then the same images were stacked again while aligned on the comet in order to retain the detail of both the comet and the stars. The result is the same as choosing the frozen comet position option in Deep Sky Stacker, but done by hand since the automated method often leaves the image looking streaky.
