Details:
Venus (left) and Jupiter rising over the Kennedy Space Center. The massive vehicle assembly building, where the space shuttle was attached to the solid fuel boosters before launch, is on the bottom left of the image. Even with the incredible triumphs this view had provided since the 60's, it was a somber morning as I reflected on the Challenger disaster and all of the people who had watched it happen from this very spot on the NASA Causeway in Titusville, FL.
