Details:
A very large Perseid from last night, it burned for 4-5 sec and traveled about 35° over the sky. You can see in the picture that it broke up and the two segments then burned side by side.

A very intriguing shot. The path of the meteor does not fit with Perseids radiant, and neither the behaviour. It crosses Perseus but not from radiant point. Can you post a full resolution image (through Flickr, Picasa or so) in order to see the fine details?

Please check my blog - http://blogg.astrofotografen.se/2014/08/perseid-meteor-shower.html

There I have an all sky photo showing this meteor. As you say, it doesnt look like it originate from the Perseids. It was the biggest and longest meteor I ever seen.
