NLC

Very nice display of NLC that spanned close to 100° width across northern horizon, with most of the brightest portions constrained below Capella, to an altitude of ~10°. I submit 2 pix, both taken from a nearby school field through a light-polluted urban sky.
First pic is an early one when the display was higher and the colour more apparent, around 23:45 local time. There is one feature,a linear diagonal, which is almost certainly a jet contrail & not part of the NLC complex.
The second image maybe a half hour later as display receded down toward the horizon but paradoxically appeared brighter against the darkening sky. Second pic shot through the "goalposts of life" in honour of the World Cup starting later today. Bright star Capella is captured just inside the goalpost.
