AR 2055 with a fast moving surge prominence at 21:25 UTC, May 16th, 2014. Taken in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California using an Orion ED100/900, cooled PGR Chameleon, double stacked Coronado SM90/90-BF30. FireCapture, RegiStax6, PaintShopPro. Seeing 6/10, Transparency 7/10, Wind 0 kph, Temp ~ 32 C. I used a standard TeleVue 2x Big Barlow for an effective focal length of 1.8 meters.
