First light on my new ZWO ASI174MM Mini Monochrome Astronomy Camera on my old Celestron 14.
( At last the SBIG ST7 CCD from 1996 can retire )
This comet has "17P/Holmes-like" outbursts which I also imaged in 2007.
220P/McNaught is a Jupiter-family comet with a 5.5-year orbit around the Sun. It is one of several
comets discovered by Australian astronomer Robert H. McNaught.
He is a Scottish-Australian astronomer at the
Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics
of the Australian National University (ANU).
