Details:
On Monday night, with new moon-level darkness, I set out to photograph Andromeda at the Ashokan Reservoir. After arriving I noticed a small hotspot of firefly activity between these two trees along the east promenade.
I decided this composition was stronger and more unique compared to a standard Deep Space image. I set up my camera (Sony A7ii, Viltrox 16mm F1.8) here instead and with 275x 15s exposures for the fireflies, I was able to stack these and combine them with 5x 3min tracked exposures of the Milkyway.
