Details:
Natural 4th of July fireworks. The aurora built up very quickly once Bz dropped. I was out before it was dark to catch the first substorm. The best was between 12:20 and 1 am EDST. Despite thick haze, clouds, and near full Moon, this was an absolute spectacle in upstate NY.
