Details:
Comet C/2025 R3 (PANSTARRS) after sunset but bathed in moonlight. Even before the moon rose, the moonlight was hitting the thin high clouds and washed out the sky... depleting the comet of detail and contrast. The Comet was close to the Orion Complex and made for enjoyable viewing through my lens, but it was probably around magnitude 4.5 or so... and therefore invisible to the naked eye. [Camera]: Canon EOS Ra. [Lens]: Canon RF 85mm f/1.2L USM lens. 4 Second exposure, f/1., 85mm ISO 4000. This is a single exposure shot in JPEG. I've added a Live View image on the 30x view from my camera's LCD... and a wider image from my iPhone 15 Pro Max (main camera) and you can just barely make out the comet. There's a bit of cloud banding and possibly airglow in that wider image.
