Details:
You probably didn't know that Pollux, Alhena, and Betelgeuse are collinear. I didn't either. And tonight, Jupiter was crossing that line. Four bright points of light in the sky nearly equally separated from each other along a perfectly straight line I never knew existed that was nearly perpendicular to the horizon was immediately eye-catching when I stepped out onto the back patio.
