Details:
Auroras shimmer over Goldstream Valley just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska on April 14, 2026, at 3:30 am AKDT. There is no more official nighttime left here at nearly 65º north latitude, just astronomical twilight from midnight-to-4 am. That’s dark enough to still see the northern lights but fading fast as Fairbanks, the “Aurora Capital of Alaska,” is gaining seven minutes of daylight per day.
