Details:
It was my first major comet sighting, and one of the most impressive astronomical experiences of my life. I will never forget C/1996 B2 (Hyakutake). This photo was taken in a rural area of Argentina with a Zenit analog SLR camera, a 58mm lens, and Fuji Superia 400 ASA film. The exposure was about ten minutes, with manual tracking on a telescope in "piggyback" mode. Today I share this memory, 30 years later.
