Details:
Comet Lemmon is easily visible with the naked eye in a dark sky location. The beautiful tail can be easily seen with binoculars. The photos show the tail reaching all the way to Arcturus in the constellation Bootes. There is a blue halo around some bright stars which was due to thin bands of cloud and haze in the sky. The seeing was not ideal and it eventually completely clouded over. The photos were taken between 8:50pm and 9:10pm EDT on Oct 24th and were captured with a Canon 6D MKII DSLR with a Canon 100-400mm lens tracking via an iOptron SkyTracker (Gen 1) mount. Camera settings were f/5.0, 30 to 45 second exposures, ISO 5000.
