Details:
Photo taken on 20 July 2025 with TS-155 CF Super Apo De Luxe Triplet F/8 with a Touptek SkyEye24AC(IMX410) FF and apparent field of approximately 1° 40' x 1° 06'. Time from 23:24 LT to 23:49 LT for a total of 25 minutes (20 frames x 75 min). The globular clusters NGC 6356 and M 9 can be seen at the extreme corners, while the COMET 3I/ATLAS of magnitude 16.9 passes through the center of the field. Being very faint, it left a faint trail, visible in the photo with the white circle and in the highly enlarged photo fragment. I wanted to capture its passage between these two globular clusters, and the task was arduous, especially to recognize the very faint trail it left!
I would also like to remind you the Comet Machholz C/2004 Q2, "with a unique chemical composition and an unusual orbit, this short-period comet is thougth to have originated around a star. It was later ejected from its home and became an interstellar vagabond before eventually being captured by the Sun" (Space- L. Nicolson).
