Details:
Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) imaged on the evening of October 16, 2024. Finally, a clear night after its reappearance and peak brightness. I’m very pleased with the processing result, considering I captured the image with the Full Moon illuminating the sky. The comet has a brightness of magnitude 2 and displays a long dust tail extending more than 15 degrees out of the field of view. It also exhibits a narrow anti-tail over 3 degrees in length, extending out of the field in the opposite corner. Samyang 135mm f/2, Canon 6D 20 min. (70x17 sec. at ISO 400) FOV 15°x9.5° Alto del Atochar, Valencia (Spain)
