Details:
A friend and I caught Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS in its very last gasp alongside the Milky Way! From our perch atop a small grassy mesa in Badlands National Park in some very dark skies, the tail was very faintly visible to the eye once our eyes adjusted to the dark and we quit light painting with headlamps. This particular image is a long exposure snapped with an iPhone 16 Pro Max!
