Details:
This is not submitted to wow anyone; only to encourage urbanites with astro interests and to prove that effort is not futile. The fading comet, now about mag 4, is way below naked-eye visibility in NYC (it was only so for a day or two, over a week ago), but a bit of hunting with binos, or speculative time exposures with a telephoto will quickly reveal the comet. Here, with very crude processing, one can see evidence of a tail that perhaps extends out ~ 7 degrees or so--not bad from the Big City! I think the anti-tail would only have been visible with tracking and stacking, which I did not do. This image, Nikkor 135mm on a micro 4/3cam, effective FL = 270mm, 5sec ISO 800
