Details:
C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) taken on October 14th 2024 27:32 UT from my observatory. Average transparency with high clouds. The comet was about 9° in the sky with the sun at -13°. As expected the comet shows the anti-tail. This phenomenon is observed in comets that cross the ecliptic plane for a period of 1-2 days and is due to the perspective projection of the true dust tail arched behind the comet's coma. Integration: 20x60sec 20 dark frames. 20 bias frames 20 flat frames. The image has been taken with the following setup: Mount BRESSER Nebula 6 EQ/AZ Montatura Wifi-Network, Williams Optics Redcat 51/250, camera Player One Poseidon-C Pro, Optolong L-Pro,guide scope Artesky 60mm with ASI ZWO 120M.
