Details:
I imaged Moon Titan as it transited Saturn for my Manorville NY Observatory. The time was 4:38 am EST at an altitude of 43°. The seeing conditions were average with turbulent atmospheric conditions. Also noted it was very hot and uncomfortably muggy along with some light clouds at times in the path of Saturn. I was not going to let that stop me. This REAR event was brought to my attention by Damian Peach's Patreon channel which I am a member of. My imaging configuration was an EdgeHD 14" / Player One SQR SATURN-C IMX533 camera with a Baader UV/IR Cut-Filter / ZWO ADC corrector on a Carl Zieas 2x Barrlow all driven on an AP 1600GOTO mount.
Saturn's largest moon, Titan has a surface that's one of the most Earth-like places in the solar system, though with different chemistry and much colder temperatures. The surface temperature is -290°F (-179°C) or colder, and water ice acts like a rock.
