C/2021 S3 (PANSTARRS) @ 2024 May 8, 02:59 UT Comet C/2021 S3 (PANSTARRS) imaged on May 8, 2024, as it passed through dense star fields and reddish interstellar hydrogen clouds in an area of the Milky Way near the star Deneb in the constellation Cygnus. Although the comet is already moving away and has dimmed to a magnitude of 11, its tail can still be seen, extending more than half a degree in length.
