Details:
When the Great Aurora of May 2024 subsided a little, I turned one of the cameras towards Corona Borealis. The scene was lovely: a thin cirrostratus layer gave the brighter stars aureoles, and half of the frame was filled with the redness of a SAR arc that persisted through the night. The marked star is T Coronae Borealis, a recurrent nova expected to blow within the next few months. Photo details: Camera: Nikon D750 Lens: Nikkor 50mm 1.4 (cropped) Settings: 9 x 90 seconds, f/4, ISO 800 (stacked in Siril) Mount: Star Adventurer Mini
