Details:
Pink/red aurora visible from Hertford (25 miles north of London) The Aurora covered a large area of the sky. This was taken with a 14mm on a full frame sensor. It is the first time I have seen an aurora this far south. The image was taken with a 14mm lens on a Canon 5d. 30s at f2.8 iso 400 The auroras started to show almost before it got dark and I picked them up when I was starting to set up my camera. This image was taken at 2130 GMT
