Details:
This Thursday morning, May 9th, after a couple of weeks of completely cloudy skies, the clouds parted a bit and allowed me to photograph the impressive sunspot AR3664. This sunspot extends about 200,000 km across the surface of the Sun and has been garnering the attention of astronomers due to its intense activity, which has produced numerous powerful solar flares. In addition to this notable sunspot, in the southwest limb of our star, we can see a gigantic prominence towering about 150,000 km high and 270,000 km wide, composing an incredible solar landscape.
