Comet 12P Pons-Brooks on 2024 May 5 at 09:00UT.
Using a C11 RASA f/2.2 + Canon 6D. iso3200 20x30sec.
FOV 3 deg. North right. near Swan Hill, Victoria, Australia.
Altitude 9 degrees.
The comet has finally risen high enough for some darker views but was still not visible to the naked eye.
Visual estimate using 8x40mm binoculars = 5.0, dia 5', DC6,
tail 2 degrees in PA120
Photographically, the ion tail is 4 degrees long whilst the dust tail is 2 degrees long.
