Is it possible to shoot comet 12P/Pons-Brooks from an airplane? The answer is yes!
While flying back from the US (where I chased the eclipse), I saw the beautiful conjunction between Jupiter and a thin crescent Moon through the aircraft window.
Fortunately I had my camera with me, as I always do during night flights. I took some shots, and there was a surprise guest in the picture: comet 12P/Pons-Brooks is visible as well! The pleaides star cluster also add to the beauty of the scenery.
This picture was taken from an Airbus A350-900, during Air France flight AF637 from Huston to Paris. The flight took-off from Huston late afternoon on April 10th.
It's always a struggle to take pictures from an Aircraft window: the aircraft has to be very stable and I had to use blankets to avoid reflections. But I am glad I managed to get this shot!
