Details:

I have mostly followed the comets inner structure for the last 2 months, because the whole comets' appearance is very well documented. The largest changes I have seen of the inner structure occurred from 2. to 3. April. The animation is made from images taken 1. 2. and 3.April.

I block the comets core and used exponential stretching to improve the contrast near the core.

This outburst came on right time to feed the tail, so the comet will be better visible on the coming solar eclipse.

Comet 17P/Holmes had a similar outburst. Picture no.4
