Details:
A capture of comet 12P/Pons-Brooks next to the star Hamal on 30 March 2024. This was a tricky capture as the comet was close to setting behind the neighbouring rooftops from my location. The shadow in the bottom left of the image is a chimney pot! The comet appeared a little brighter than a few days previously and I managed to pick up more detail in the tail. I stacked the images using DeepSkyStacker and processed the result with FastStone Image Viewer and Photoshop Elements. I used an Evostar 72ED with 250D DSLR on Star Adventurer mount. Settings: 21 stacked images at 420mm fl, f/5.8, 8s exp at ISO-1600.
