Details:
Upon reading about its most recent outburst a few days ago, I decided to acquire some images of comet 12P/Pons-Brooks. As you can see in the attached final picture, it has a very interesting appearance: the sign of the previous outburst can still be seen as a large and diffuse cloud (even a hint of the ,,dark band'' is there) while the recently ejected material shows the classic ,,devil horns'' shape observed earlier, and in addition a faint tail is also visible. This comet is indeed very active, I'm excited to follow it in the coming months by remote observation and later with my modest equipment as well when it brightens more and weather will be nicer.
Taken remotely via Skygems Observatory, using a 30 cm telescope (Tecnosky RC12) located in Italy. 18x120sec. exposures stacked (Sigma clipping mode to reduce stars)
