Details:
A new outburst of Comet 12P Pons-Brooks began on Halloween eve (October 31) and was in full outburst on November 1, 2023. This series of images shows the comet from October 30th prior to the outburst, into the outburst, and the developing coma until November 4, 2023. By November 3-4 the "devil comet" coma is again apparent resulting from the venting of the cryovolcano that is driving the outburst. This is the third outburst since July, and likely not the last. All images are 9 x 60 sec captured with iTelescope T11.
