Details:
An airplane was striking across the partially eclipsed moon just before eclipse maximum. I was lucky to get a good shot of this coincidence here from Nice in southern France. Although the earth shadow only covered some 12% of the moon, the eclipse was clearly seen with the unaided eye and was a beautiful sight. The photos were taken at 19.59 UT, 20.02 UT and 20.09 UT respectively. I used a Canon Ra and a 90mm William Optics refractor.
