Details:
On the evening of 2023 Sept 17 (2023 Sept 18 UT) Comet C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) became faintly visible at an altitude of about 4 degrees. The comet was magnitude 2.3 with a tail at position angle 68 degrees from the coma. The gif animation shows the comet as it gets lower in altitude while the sky slowly gets darker which allowed for longer RGB images for each of the successive images in the gif animation. No processing was done to any of the images other than to combine the red, green and blue images into a color image. Interesting how the color of the twilight sky changed from color image to color image in the gif animation.
