Comet C/2023 E1 (ATLAS) located at a distance of 1 AU from the Sun, began emitting a faint ion tail that extends nearly half a degree in this image taken on June 15, 2023, from a periurban sky when it was 16 degrees from the Polaris star. Its green coma has a diameter of 9 arcminutes, and its total brightness is at magnitude 10. Is expected to reach its maximum in July, potentially could reaching magnitude 8.5.
