Details:
The traditional solstice celebration since the 14th century took place at the Zugspitz Arena (Tyrolean Alps, Austria) at the 24th of June. More than 10.000 fires light up the may 50 to 200-meter figures from an altitude from 1200m up to the Zugspitze with 2962 m osl. Pointing out the figures in the steep mountain walls in the region of the Sonnenspitze (2417 m osl.) you should know that this places could only can be reached by hard climbing. What an acrobatic performance for an unique sight for numerous of visitors.
