I noticed that there was a possibility of NLC's as the new Noctilucent Map showed the possibility over Western Canada. I arrived at my first site around 0500 UTC. As darkness began to fall I began to see NLC's on the horizon and captured a panorama of them with the crescent Moon and Venus. My second stop was at Twisted Ponds, here I set up and waited for the aurora to appear as the Bz was -4 to -5, a quiet Aurora band was close to the horizon and a small pillar showed up it was delightful to see it. As it was beginning to get light I packed up to go to my third spot. I t was here that the aurora and NLC's came out together and I was able to capture them, at 0930 UTC, a subtle display but what a great way to start the Summer! Happy Solstice!
