Details:
With the beginning disturbance in the solar wind during the late evening hours I decided to head towards the beach to try to catch the beginning midnight twilight together with some aurora but on my way I thought I was running out of time so I remembered these beautiful canola fields about half way to the beach and headed there. Just barely after I had set my cameras all up the show began and wonderful beams of aurora were visible towards north during astronomical twilight (it doesn't get darker than that anymore) for more than an hour until they faded in the rising morning twilight. No visible color (to the naked eye) but it still was an impressive show you've got to be very lucky to witness in our very short summer nights.
